Can I drive one of your vehicles on a regular car licence?

Yes! All of our vehicles can be driven on a valid Australian open drivers licence. International licences will not be accepted.

How old do I have to be to drive one of your vehicles?

The authorised driver of the vehicle must be over 25 and under 75 years of age, as this is part of our insurance requirements.

Are the trucks easy to drive?

All of our trucks are automatic and can be driven on a regular drivers licence. Trucking experience is not required to drive any of our trucks.

Can I also hire trolleys and moving blankets from you?

You will receive a complimentary 2 wheel trolley, moving blankets and ropes with every truck rental. Ute hire includes complimentary ratchet tie downs and a cargo net. We also have a stair trolley available but it’s subject to availability.

How is fuel charged?

You will only pay for the fuel you use. On pickup, the vehicle will be full of fuel and you will be required to re-fill the fuel on return. If the hire vehicle is returned without re-filling the fuel, you will be charged the amount it costs to refill the vehicle, plus a $10 admin fee.

How does the insurance work?

All of our vehicles are covered by insurance. Standard insurance is already included in the daily rate. We also offer excess reduction for a small daily fee. Please keep in mind that any overhead damage to the trucks, is not covered by insurance.

Is there an extra charge for having more than 1 nominated driver?

No! We will not charge you for adding extra drivers. We just require all drivers information and licence details.

How do I pay for using Toll roads?

All of our vehicles have a Linkt account that covers all roads in Australia that have tolls. All you have to do is let us know, and then you can pay us.

Are there any hidden costs?

We will only charge you for the daily hire charge, the optional insurance waiver/excess reduction & extra mileage charges. Remember you will have to pay for the fuel you use and any tolls you may go through.

Is there a bond/deposit?

Yes, we do charge a bond/deposit of $300 per vehicle – This amount is refundable. Any extra charges, such as extra mileage and tolls can be taken from the deposit. The remaining balance will be refunded to you as soon as possible. Once the refund has been processed it should only take 1-3 business days to show up in your account. A $500 bond is required for travel outside of our normal areas of use (Long-haul trips).

Is there a km allowance?

We have a standard kilometer allowance of 100kms per day, which is FREE with your vehicle hire. Extra mileage will be charged at only $0.32 per km. The free 100km allowance per day only applies to regular truck and ute rental rates and may not apply to special offers/deals.
